El Viernes 27 de mayo comenzó el Progress Tour de Take That. En Sunderland en el "Stadium of Light". Un total de 36 conciertos entre Inglaterra, Irlanda, Italia, Dinamarca, Holanda y Alemania. Listado.

Take That nuevamente realizara una cancion para una pelicula.

El director de cine Matthew Vaughn, ya habia solicitado su colaboracion para la pelicula Stardust donde Take That aporto el bellísimo tema "Rule The World". Ahora Vaughn dirige la pelicula X Men: First Class, y nuevamente contará en el tema final con Take That , esta vez el tema se llama "Love Love" del cual ya existen un preview de 30 seg.

El 11 de Mayo en la noche se dará a conocer el tema completo en el National Movie Awards a través de la cadena ITV1.

Mark Owen en Crisis

El 13 de marzo nos sorprendió la noticias de la "Confesión de Mark Owen" en el THE SUN. Ese mismo día en varios medios de prensa y portales de Internet se difundía la noticia de las infidelidades de Mark Owen a su esposa Emma, cuando estos aun eran novios.

La pareja que contrajo matrimonio en Noviembre del 2009 en Escocia, al parecer entraba en crisis y Mark confesó haber tenido al menos 10 affairs en los casi 5 años junto a Emma Ferguson, incluso a semanas de que su actual esposa diera a luz a su pequeña hija Willow Rose. Mark asegura que estos hechos fueron antes de su matrimonio y que el hecho de casarse fue para dar vuelta la pagina de sus errores.

La familia Owen parecía perfecta: una carrera existosa junto a Take That, una mujer bellísima, 2 hijos hermosos (Elwood de 3 años y Willow de 1 año), pero algo se interpuso entre Mark y esta felicidad, según palabras del mismo cantante, producto de su excesivo consumo de alcohol durante años, lo que generó un sin fin de errores que lo llevaron al panorama actual.

Actualmente Mark Owen se encuentra en una clinica recibiendo ayuda para superar su problema con el alcohol. Se internó por propia voluntad a días de su confesión a los medios britanicos. Como era de suponer, aparecieron varias chicas "confesando" supuestos affairs con Mark, pero afortunadamente los dichos de Mark dejaron todo el panorama más que claro, por lo que estos no han seguido. Mark ha aclarado y declarado su profundo amor por su esposa y sus hijos, y espera que, saliendo de la clinica, pueda tener el tiempo de reconstruir su familia.

Sus compañeros de Take That y su amigo Robbie Williams, han expresado todo su apoyo al cantante. Todos ellos estaban trabajando en nuevos trabajos discográficos en conjunto en Estados Unidos. Take That ha dado a conocer sus proyectos que incluyen la participación del productor Stuart Price, quien ha trabajado con Madonna, The Killers y Coldplay, lo que supondría un estilo más dance para sus proximos trabajos que se esperan que sean 2 discos. El primero sería con Robbie Williams y saldría a la venta en la Navidad de este año, el segundo disco sería sólo de Take That y se espera para principios del 2011. Ambos proyectos estan en espera hasta que Mark Owen resuelva bien su situación.

De parte de las fans de Mark en Chile , esperamos que pronto pueda reencontrarse con su familia y resolver sus asuntos pendientes. Tenemos todo el tiempo del mundo para esperarle.

El pasado jueves 12 de Noviembre , se llevo a cabo en el Royal Albert Hall de Londres el esperado concierto "BBC' Children in Need" que organizo Gary Barlow , en él participaron Lily Allen , Sir Paul McCartney, Leona Lewis , entre otros.

El Concierto fue básicamente Take That y sus amigos , resulto ser maravilloso y lo mejor de todo fue la participación de Robbie Wiliams. "¡Qué bello lugar, qué momento perfecto para presentar a un viejo amigo, démosle la bienvenida a Robbie Williams en el escenario!", dijo Gary Barlow. Fue entonces cuando Robbie saludó a cada uno de los miembros de su antigua banda.

Los Chicos no cantaron ninguna canción de Take That juntos , lo que para los fans puede parecer decepcionante, pero lo cierto es que fue una muestra de generosidad de sus ex-compañeros de banda y amigos, puesto que Williams esta promocionando su nuevo disco y el haber cantado juntos podria restarle importancia a su actual trabajo discografico, el cual esta siendo un exito.

Al final de la velada, Sir Paul McCartney y Take That comenzaron a interpretar el tema "Hey Jud", donde finalmente se incorporó el resto de artistas que habian estado en el escenario. En ese momento se pudo ver a Robbie y Gary cantando abrazados los acordes del final más largo para una canción, "Hey Jud" de The Beatles.

Yoko Ono le ha dado su bendición a Take That, señalándolos como los nuevos 4 fabulosos del Reino Unido.
La viuda de John Lennon reveló que es una gran fanática de la banda, y señalo que el éxito “Shine” es su canción favorita.
Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald y Jason Orange se reunieron con Yoko en el escenario de los Premios “GQ Men of the year” (hombres del año), en el teatro de la ópera real en Covent Garden, Londres, con ella presentándolos como la mejor banda.
Una radiante Yoko dijo: “Me encanta Shine. Conozco la mayoría de sus grandes éxitos. Ellos son una gran banda británica”.
Y el sentimiento es mutuo.
Mark dijo: “Es asombroso que Yoko piense eso de nuestra música. Es un honor aceptar un premio de ella”.
El golpecito en la espalda de Yoko en la ceremonia de anoche viene después de que Gary y los otros muchachos han estado en los estudios Abbey Road por dos días trabajando en un proyecto secreto.
Los chicos acaban de regresar de un descanso de tres meses, y se reunieron el Lunes en los famosos estudios de Londres donde Los Beatles grabaron casi todos sus grandes éxitos.
Un nuevo DVD en vivo se pondrá a la venta para esta navidad, documentando el finalizado tour “Circus” realizado a través del Reino Unido.
El DVD también presentará como extra un disco de la banda tocando canciones en el mundialmente famoso estudio 2 de Abbey Road, donde se grabarán éxitos como “Hey Jude”. Para que lo sepan, Gary toca el piano, Mark el bajo, Jason la guitarra y Howard la batería.
Hablando justo antes de la ceremonia de los premios GQ, Gary dijo: “Ha sido absolutamente asombroso estar en Abbey Road. El lugar tiene un aura especial. Hay mucha historia ahí. Me encantaría grabar nuestro próximo álbum en ese lugar.

Los chicos están muy complacidos de estar de vuelta en el estudio luego de su merecido descanso.
Jason dijo: “Tuvimos unas grandiosas vacaciones, pero ya es tiempo de volver a trabajar”.
Y Howard me dijo: “Estuve trabajando como Dj en Ibiza, así que mis vacaciones no fueron tan largas como las de los otros chicos, pero es bueno estar de vuelta. Estuve jugando un poco de golf, pero creo que aún no estoy listo para ganarte amigo”.
Gary también confesó haber podido escuchar al antiguo miembro de la banda Robbie Williams con su nuevo trabajo “Reality killed the video star”, y que le encantó. Dijo: “He escuchado el nuevo álbum de Robbie, y creo que es grandioso”.
“Se escucha la influencia de Trevor Horn en el disco. Compraría cualquier cosa que ese sujeto hace. La música de Robbie aún tiene una sensación de electrónica ochentera, pero suena muy refrescante”. Eso a mi me sonó como un sello de aprobación.

Un poco mas sobre Nosotros

Somos parte de la comunidad de fans de Take That más grande de Inglaterra: TTAP, reconocido como el fans club oficial de Take That. Como Take That Chile somos partícipes de las actividades internacionales que se desarrollan, destacando la labor de los fans Chilenos.

Hemos sido aceptados por TTAP como el Equipo de Chile para International Thatters Week 2008 (La Semana Internacional de Fans de Take That), cuyo enfoque es la reunión de fondos para cada equipo/pais, lo cual se añade al total de todos los equipos y se entrega en el evento "Thattereen" (Fiesta de Halloween de Fans de TT que cierra la semana internacional) a la Beneficencia nominada por Take That, en nombre de los fans de Take That.

Estamos invitados a "Thattereen" fiesta anual de fans de Take That, que reúne fans de todo el mundo. Para la fiesta del 2008, Howard Donald gentilmente ha donado una serie de vestuarios usados en los conciertos de los 90 de Take That, para que sean subastados entre los asistentes. Take That también ha firmado una amplia gama de artículos como CD's, Posters, Singlesm DVD's, entre otros, para ser subastadosr y etregados como premio a los asistentes. El dinero reunido, se suma a los recaudado por los fans durante la semana internacional y se entrega a la Beneficencia nominada por Take That.

Nuevamente te damos la bienvenida y esperamos contar contigo.

International Thatters Week 2008

Tenemos el agrado de informarles que este año hemos sido invitados a participar en International Thatters Week 2008, cuyo fin es el de reunir fondos por equipos de paises a nivel internacional. El total del dinero obtenido se entrega luego a la beneficencia nominada por Take That a nombre de los fans de Take That.

Nosotros somos el Equipo de Chile y este es el espacio para discutir nuestras ideas para eventos y/o actividades a realizar con el fin de reunir fondos para esta noble causa.

Actualmente, lo siguiente es lo que ya esta en proceso:

- Rifas en Reuniones:
Se estan haciendo rifas de posters y fotos de TT en las reuniones. El dinero obtenido esta destinado a ITW 2008

- Rifas para Sorteo:
Pronto tendremos rifas de 25 números para que cada miembro del fans club venda numeros a sus amigos, compañeros, familiares, etc. Cuando esten definidos los premios, les informaremos aqui.

- Cajita Take That
Pronto estara disponible para bajar e imprimir una cajita diseñada para que cada una imprima y arme su cajita-alcancia en la cual podemos depositar nuestras moneditas extra con el fin de llenar la caja para comienzos de Octubre. Quien reuna mas dinero en su caja tendra un premio TT como agradecimiento a su esfuerzo.

Vuestras sugerencias e ideas son bienvenidas!

TTAP informo el dia de hoy 11 de agosto que Take That ha autorizado al uso de su logo oficial y su nombre en todo lo relacionado a INTERNATIONAL THATTERS WEEK, reconociendo asi el enorme aporte y sacrificio de sus fans a nivel internacional por aportar en beneficencias a nombre de Take That. Nosotros, como miembros del equipo Chile en ITW nos sentimos orgullosos de este reconocimiento de nuestros afiliados en Inglaterra.
Esto nos da mas fuerza y animo para lograr que nuestro aporte en ITW este año sea mayor.

Cajita solidaria Take That

Aquí podrán bajar la "cajita solidaria TT", para que cada una la imprima y la use como molde, ojala la puedan pegar sobre una cartulina doble o algo un poco mas grueso y refuercen bien el fondo porque con todas las moneditas que le van a poner...se puede romper.

La idea, como antes mencionado, es que cada una pueda hacer su propia cajita en base a este molde, si quieren adornarla de otra manera no hay problema, pero la idea es entregar la cajita llena, ojala, en la reunion de Octubre que sera la primera semana de Octubre.

Quien logre reunir mas platita en su caja tendra un premio de TT en agradecimiento por su esfuerzo.

Asi que, a imprimir y armar cajitas se ha dicho!

Si alguien tiene alguna duda, favor escribir aqui.

Las medidas, una vez hecha, son: 10 cmts de alto, 8 cmts de ancho, 3 cmts de profundidad y las aletas para pegar abajo, arriba y a los lados, son de 1.5 cmts.

Take That han sido nominados a los premios "Vodaphone live music awards 2008" en la categoría "Sony ericsson tour of the year".

La gala se celebrará el próximo 18 de Septiembre en Londres y será retransmitida por la televisión inglesa (Channel 4). El resto de nominados en la misma categoría de los chicos son Girls aloud, Sugarbabes y NME tour. Lamentablemente sólo se puede votar en Inglaterra

Nuevo Album para el 2008 ???

Según sitios en Internet (The Sun y Facebook) han mencionado que nuestros cuatro chicos se encuentran escribiendo y grabando en el estudio, y esperan tener listo un nuevo álbum para Diciembre del 2009.

Al parecer son dos grandes noticias que tendremos a fines de año: El segundo bebe de Mark Owen y su mujer Emma, y un nuevo disco de Take That. Ojalá que el bebe venga con la marraqueta bajo el brazo y el disco sea exitoso y gane muchos premios como siempre ha sucedido en la historia de Take That.

En la historia musical del Pop e incluso del Rock han habido agrupaciones destinadas a la satisfacción del publico a gran escala, The Jackson Five, Beach Boys, The Osmonds, Bee Gees, The Monkees y como no mencionar a los mismos Beatles, quienes llevaron el termino agrupación juvenil a otro nivel, quizás dejándonos una imagen futurista sobre lo que vendría en materia de grupos musicales y su vinculación a un nuevo estilo musical llamado Pop.

Después de la Beatlemania, el mundo esperaba que se pudiese repetir dicho fervor por algún grupo. Llegaron los años 80’s y con ellos un sin fin de grupos alternativos y de experimentación musical a punta de sintetizadores, maquillaje y vestuario exagerado. El Pop estaba en todo su apogeo, pero no ocurrió sino hasta finales de los años 80’s cuando un grupo llamado New Kids On The Block irrumpió en la escena musical con canciones pegajosas pero sin mucha ciencia, eran populares, exactamente lo que significa Pop y con eso bastaba, al menos para ellos. Sin embargo a pesar de tener un éxito insospechado, no fue sino hasta 1994 que New Kids saco un nuevo disco “Face The Music” que fue todo un fracaso, lo que acelero aun más lo inevitable, su posterior separación.

Sin embargo, al otro lado del Atlántico, específicamente en Gran Bretaña, un nuevo grupo había comenzado a hacerse un nombre propio en la escena del Pop…

Esta es la historia de TAKE THAT

Primera Parte: El Reclutamiento

Take That comenzó como una respuesta británica al grupo estadounidense New Kids On The Block por parte de Nigel Martin-Smith, quien en su mente tenía la idea de crear un grupo con similares características a los New Kids pero dirigiendo su atención a un publico en particular, las adolescentes y el publico gay. Teniendo la idea ya en proceso, Nigel decide buscar a los chicos que cumpliesen con los estándares que buscaba, saber cantar y bailar , además de tener un evidente atractivo físico.

En 1990 Nigel comienza su búsqueda en la localidad de Manchester, colocando anuncios en el periódico y en la radio, informando sobre la selección de chicos para formar un nuevo grupo de Pop, dando fortuitamente con quien se convertiría en el compositor y voz principal de la banda, Gary Barlow, quien desde un principio le deja en claro al busca talentos que el además de cantar, era un compositor innato, por lo que le deja a Nigel un cinta con la grabación casera de la canción compuesta por él mismo “A Million Love Songs”, Nigel no podía creer que aquel chico era el mismo de la grabación, por lo que hace que Gary de 19 años le demuestre que es el efectivamente, Nigel al ver la veracidad del talento de Barlow, le pregunta que si puede volver al día siguiente, Gary sin pensarlo dos veces contesta que si.

A pesar de tener a Gary, Nigel necesitaba otros cuatro más para completar y complementar su grupo y gracias al anuncio publicado Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Robbie Williams y Jason Orange responden.

Mark Owen por ese entonces 18 años, trabajaba en un banco y la idea de de participar en aquel grupo no le parecía nada de mal. Su amor por la música había comenzado a muy temprana edad cuando comienza a tomar clases de piano y violín, las cuales paulatinamente deja. Sin embargo, su amor por el breakdance recién comenzaba.

Howard Donald, 22 años, trabajaba pintando y arreglando autos y en sus ratos libres bailaba breakdance, aunque no profesionalmente y era DJ en fiestas cada vez que podía.

Robbie Williams, 16 años, recién venia saliendo del colegio, por lo que su vida no tenia muchas experiencias, todavía y lo mas cercano que había estado del escenario era por las obras de teatro que hacia cuando pequeño. Se presento al casting al escuchar el anuncio por la radio. Su personalidad llamativa y su factor extra hicieron el resto

Jason Orange, 20 años, había bailado desde muy pequeño y para el año1990 participaba en un programa de televisión dedicado a la música y el baile llamado “The Hit Man and Her”. Fue en esa época que mediante un amigo se entera de la audición que Nigel llevaría a cabo.

Segunda Parte: El Inicio

El camino hacia el éxito no fue para nada fácil, requirió de un arduo trabajo que incluía largas sesiones de baile y clases de canto. Además de sacrificios personales que incluían amigos y familiares. En un principio se los acondicionó para que tuviesen mentalidad y disciplina de campamento militar. Nigel estaba decidido a llevar al estrellato a estos cinco chicos, sin importar las consecuencias. El primer paso era promocionar a Take That, los llevo a presentarse a colegios, universidades y en clubes gays. Era evidente que la personalidad de Nigel influía mucho en la vestimenta, actitud de los chicos y sabia exactamente a que publico quería dirigirse.

Nigel necesitaba tener un buen producto para comenzar a promocionarlos con disqueras que quisieran firmar contratos con ellos. Su primer video “Do What You Like”, era bastante osado para la época, por lo que tuvieron que hacer dos versiones. Este video era de bajo presupuesto, pero los ayudo a que la gente se percatara de la existencia del grupo. El siguiente sencillo “Promises” logro entrar a los charts y se coloco en el puesto número 38 de las listas de Gran Bretaña, lo cual era un gran avance para un grupo que se estaba recién formando. El siguiente sencillo, a pesar de las habilidades de composición de Gary Barlow, fue un cover de los años 70 del grupo Tavares, It Only Takes a Minute, que llego al numero 7 de los charts, a este éxito le siguió el single “I Founnd Heaven y la primera balada que Gary Barlow habia compuesto a los 17 años, “A Million Love Song”, ambos sencillos alcanzaron el Top 20.Gracias a este grupo de canciones, Take That & Party obtuvo buenas ventas en 1992, año en que fue lanzado dicho disco.

Con el éxito obtenido por el primer álbum, el grupo comenzó a presentarse en programas de televisión y ser cotizados por las revistas juveniles de Gran Bretaña. Sin embargo, a pesar de las promociones del disco, los cinco chicos volvieron inmediatamente al estudio para grabar lo que seria su segundo trabajo “Everything Changes”. Para este disco, Barlow esperaba componer buenas canciones y con ello producir un increíble segundo álbum. Es así como este disco produjo la canción “Pray”, que se convertiría en el primer número 1 de Take That. A este le siguieron otros tres #1 consecutivos: Relight My Fire, Babe (vocalista Mark Owen) y Everything Changes (vocalista Robbie Williams). Este disco los ayudo a tener fama internacional y de a poco comenzó la llamada “Takethamania”.
La fama repentina y el fanatismo excesivo que desataron en las adolescentes y en el público en general, en Gran Bretaña y en el resto de Europa fue tal que la misma BBC los describió como “el grupo británico mas famoso desde los Beatles en el Reino Unido, adorados tanto por jóvenes, como por adultos”. No obstante, la fama comenzó a hacer estragos en Take That. Los chicos comían, respiraban y vivían el grupo y no tenían más vida que la vida del espectáculo. Su manager Nigel, les había prohibido muchas cosas, entre ellas, no tener novias, aunque en ningún momento les prohibió tener relaciones sexuales, es así como nacen miles de historias de fans y sus aventuras con los integrantes del grupo. Por otro lado, el alcohol y las drogas comenzaban a completar este círculo vicioso, que de a poco iba socavando la buena relación que tenían entre ellos. Para 1994, Take That ya era un grupo consolidado y con voz propia, atrás habían quedado las comparaciones con New Kids On The Block y ellos se perfilaban como los nuevos reyes de las boybandas futuras. Take That era sinónimo de grandes ganancias ya fuese para la disquera, como para las empresas que fabricaban mercancías con sus rostros y con el nombre Take That. Las entradas a sus conciertos se agotaban en cosa de minutos y los muchachos no podían salir a la calle sin ser reconocidos por la gente.

Tercera Parte: El Apogeo

Llega 1995 y la banda esta en todo su apogeo. En ese mismo año el grupo lanza al mercado su tercer trabajo de estudio “Nobody Else” del cual se extrajo el sencillo “Sure”, que se convirtió en su quinto #1 en Inglaterra y el primero en debutar en esa posición. Sin embargo, nada los había preparado para lo que les esperaba; su segundo sencillo “Back For Good”, se convirtió velozmente en su siguiente #1, no solo en el Reino Unido sino que además alcanzo dicha posición en otros 31 países y fue su primer sencillo en entrar en las carteleras musicales de Estados Unidos, colocándose en el #7 lugar en los Hot100 de la revista Billboard. Se han hecho 89 covers de la canción, convirtiéndola en una de las canciones mas grabadas por otros artitas hasta la fecha y es considerada por muchos críticos como una de las mejores canciones de los 90.La canción “Never Forget”(vocalista Howard Donald), es su siguiente sencillo y su séptimo #1. En 2005 obtiene el 4to lugar en el “Top 50 de las Mejores Canciones de Boybandas” por la NME(revista especializada en música de Gran Bretaña).

En ese mismo año, Robbie Williams decide dejar el grupo, ya que la relación entre él y sus compañeros se había tornado una pesadilla. Su abuso del alcohol, drogas y la poca comprensión de sus compañeros, lo llevó a tomar esa drástica decisión al no sentirse ya parte del grupo. Después de su partida, el resto de la banda continúo con la promoción de su último disco, finalizando con la gira “Nobody Else Tour” en Julio de 1995.

Cuarta Parte: La Separación

El 13 de Febrero de 1996, la banda anuncia su separación en una rueda de prensa y la histeria colectiva de miles de fans se deja ver y sentir en todas sus dimensiones, haciendo de eso uno de los momentos más bizarros de la música inglesa. Líneas telefónicas se abrieron para ayudar a las desoladas fans de Take That, que amenazaban con suicidarse debido a la separación de la banda. Tiempo después de anunciar la noticia, Take That saca al mercado una placa recopilatoria “Greatest Hits”, que contenia una nueva grabación, un cover del grupo Bee Gees, “How Deep Is Your Love”.La canción se convirtió en su ultimo #1 hasta una década después en 2006.

“Estas fans eran dementes, simplemente estaban obsesionadas y la adoración hacia ellos era cada vez más intensa y más histérica, incluso hacían competencias entre ellas para ver quien tenia mas fotos con Take That o cuantas horas podían estar fuera de las casas de los chicos”. Después de su disolución, cada uno tomó rumbos separados, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald y, por supuesto, Robbie Williams, siguieron en la música, algunos con más éxito que otros, mientras que Jason Orange se retiró completamente de los escenarios musicales. Sin embargo, fue Robbie Williams el que alcanzó fama mundial e impresionantes ventas de sus discos, gracias a la canción “Angels”.

Quinta Parte: La Reunión

La mayoría de las bandas que se disuelven lo hacen cuando su éxito es prácticamente nulo y las ventas han decaído en un gran porcentaje. Sin embargo, Take That, se disolvió cuando estaban en la cúspide de su carrera y de haber seguido quizás hubiesen consigo mucho mas, pero la como decía uno de sus integrantes Howard Donald, “si se disolvían lo querían hacer cuando todavía tenían éxito”. Sabia decisión, ya que quizás un mínimo fracaso les hubiese costado la credibilidad y el respeto del publico.

El 14 de Noviembre de 2005, la casa discográfica BMG/Sony, lanzó al mercado el disco

Never Forget - The Ultimate Collection para conmemorar los 10 años de la separación del grupo. El disco incluía 19 canciones, una canción en vivo, un remix y un nuevo track llamado “Today I’ve Lost You”, la canción fue escrita para ser el siguiente sencillo después de Back for Good, pero nunca fue lanzada.

El 16 de Noviembre de 2005, el grupo se unió para la transmisión del documental de la cadena de televisión ITV, Take That: For The Record, en el que se cuenta la historia de la agrupación por personas cercanas al grupo o por los mismos integrantes, quienes dan a conocer datos inéditos de la vida en los años que estuvieron juntos. El documental fue visto por 6 millones de televidentes. La compañía que lo produjo, Back2back ganó el premio Grierson, a “Mejor Documental en Artes Escénicas”.

El éxito y el interés producidos por el documental, hizo que los cuatro integrantes pensaran en volver a la música como Take That, es por ello que el 25 de Noviembre de 2005, en una especie de daja vu inverso los chicos, ya hombres, se presentan en una rueda de prensa oficial pero esta vez para dar a conocer de su regreso y de su nueva gira para el año 2006.

La gira llamada, The Ultimate Tour 2006, era la primera que realizaban después de su separación en 1996. En la gira se encontraban todos los integrantes, a excepción de Robbie Williams. La prensa y el público comenzaron a tener gran interés en Take That otra vez, gracias al éxito en los ratings con el documental y por el éxito en ventas de su disco recopilatorio, que alcanzo el #2 lugar en las carteleras de álbumes más vendidos de Gran Bretaña. La gira estaba programada para realizar 11 presentaciones, pero después de vender todas las entradas de esas presentaciones en menos de 30 minutos, los promotores decidieron agregar más fechas. El grupo vendió 275.000 entradas en menos de 3 horas, irónicamente ocupo el lugar #2 de entradas más rápidamente vendidas en 2005, después de la gira de su ex integrante Robbie Williams. Tal fue el éxito de la gira que los promotores se vieron forzados a agregar más presentaciones, pero ahora serian en estadios, tales como el nuevo Wembley Stadium, City of Manchester Stadium y the Millennium Stadium. Cuando las entradas de Wembley se agotaron en menos de 30 minutos, se decidió aumentar las presentaciones en dicho estadio y en Manchester. En marzo de 2006 las presentaciones en Wembley debieron ser reprogramadas debido al retrazo en la construcción del nuevo estadio de Wembley.

Sexta Parte: El Regreso , BACK FOR GOOD

En mayo de 2006, Take That vuelve a la escena musical al firmar un nuevo contrato con Polydor Records, se especula que el contrato costo £3,000,000 . Su nuevo disco Beautiful World, era un trabajo más maduro y su estilo rock/pop era completamente diferente a los trabajos previos. El disco rápidamente obtuvo masivas ventas, vendiendo 3 millones en el mundo y mas de 1.5 millones en Gran Bretaña. El disco alcanzo el #1 el mismo día de su lanzamiento. En 2006 Take That se convirtió en el primer y hasta el momento único artista en conseguir el #1 simultáneamente, en las carteleras de Albums, Carteleras de Bajas, Carteleras de sencillo y Cartelera de Videos en UK(Reino Unido). Ha sido el único trabajo en el cual todos los miembros de la banda cantan al menos una canción, además de ser el primer trabajo en donde todo los integrantes participan en la composición y producción de las canciones, con la participación de grandes productores como John Shack y Steve Robson, a excepción de “I’d Wait For Life”, canción compuesta netamente por ellos.

“Las canciones son variadas y mas reflexivas que su trabajos anteriores, evocando las luchas para mantenerse juntos y el efecto del paso del tiempo. El sencillo de su asombroso regreso, “Patience” pelea por ser el más prominente entre un grupo de épicas canciones, que incluye Reach Out y Hold On, que tienen a Mark como vocalista. Luego se encuentran hermosas baladas como “Like I’ve Never Loved You At All”, y la destacada “I’d Wait For Life” y filosófica “What You Believe In”. El album tiene un giro bastante interesante con la canción muy al estilo Beatles, “Shine” y con el primer solo de Jason Orange “Wooden Boat” que posee un leve matiz de música folk”

El 20 de Noviembre de 2006, es lanzado al mercado el primer sencillo del álbum, “Patience” una balada rock/pop mucho más madura y compleja que sus trabajos anteriores, el cual alcanzo el #1 la siguiente semana después de su lanzamiento, convirtiéndola en el noveno #1 de la banda. La siguiente canción lanzada fue “Shine” teniendo como vocalista a Mark Owen y al resto en los coros, su arreglo musical y armonización, evocaba legendarias bandas como Queen y Electric Light Orchestra. La canción llego al primer lugar, lo que convirtió a Take That en uno de los grupos con más #1 en la historia musical de Reino Unido. Terminó el 2007 ocupando la #19 posición de sencillos más vendidos de ese año.

Es así como el éxito de la banda continuó en 2007. En ese año interpretan la canción “Patience”, en los BRIT Awards (premio británicos de música equivalentes a los Grammy’s), los que le otorgaron el premio a “Mejor Sencillo Británico” por Patience. Su tercer sencillo fue la canción “I’d Wait For Life”, la canción alcanzo el #17 lugar, debido, quizás a la poca promoción por parte de la banda, que quería tomarse un descanso previo a la nueva gira.

En el 2007, se le pidió a la banda que compusiera la canción principal para la película “Stardust”, protagonizada por Robert de Niro, Peter O’tool, Michelle Pfiffer, entre otros. La canción se llamo “Rule The World”, la cual llego al #2 en el Reino Unido y se colocó en el #5 lugar de los sencillos más vendidos del 2007. Es además considerada por la prensa especializada como una de las mejores canciones de Take That hasta el momento.

El 11 de Octubre de 2007 Take That comienza su exitosa gira llamada “Beautiful World Tour”, que incluyo 49 presentaciones por Europa y terminó el 23 de Diciembre de 2007. Posterior a esto, salió a la venta el DVD de la gira y no fue una sorpresa que alcanzara la primera posición, manteniéndose por 6 semanas consecutivas en el mismo lugar en UK, teniendo excelentes ventas en el resto de Europa y debutando en España en el primer lugar.

Después de tener un increíblemente exitoso año 2007, Take That recibió cuatro nominaciones para los BRITS Awards, Mejor Grupo, Mejor Sencillo por Shine, Mejor Álbum por Beautiful World y a Mejor Presentación en Vivo, llevándose los premios a Mejor Sencillo y a Mejor Presentación en Vivo.

En mayo de este año Take That se le otorga un Ivor Novello por su canción “Shine” (El Ivor Novello es un premio otorgado a cantautores, compositores, productores y arreglistas por la Academia Británica de Compositores y Cantautores)

Septima Parte: El Funsión debe continuar

Greatest Day fue el primer single de su quinto disco de estudio llamado The Circus, el single fue lanzado el 13 de octubre en 'RADIO ONE' y el 01 de Diciembre fue el lanzamiento oficial del disco.

En el 2009 comenzaron una serie de presentaciones en europa para mostrar el resto de los singles del disco. El segundo single, Up All Night, fue lanzado sólo en UK y su tercer single The Garden en el resto de Europa. Finalmente , semanas antes de su Tour en Inglaterra, lanzaron su cuarto single Said It All.
La gira The Circus Tour, obviamente también resulto ser un exito, comenzó el 05 de junio en Sunderland y finalizo el 05 de jullio en Londres

Take That por el momento esta descansando despues de su ultima gira, y sus fans estan ansiosos esperando la preparacion de un nuevo disco.

Muchas veces se ha menospreciado el talento de los integrantes de Take That, principalmente de personas que están en contra del Pop o de los grupos manufacturados. Sin embargo, Take That a pesar de que era una boybanda y todo lo que esa palabra conlleva, han demostrado que el talento les sobra y que pueden ser recordados como excelentes artistas, que pueden crear canciones muy buenas, que pasan la prueba del tiempo y que se convierten en clásicos como “Back for Good”. Esto está recién comenzando y mientras Take That no se dé por vencido, sus fans alrededor del mundo tampoco lo harán, porque ¡Take That ha vuelto para quedarse!

De a poco nos hemos estado juntando varias fans de Take That en Chile, y ya tenemos una causa por la cual ponernos en campaña y organizarnos:

Traer a Take That al próximo Festival de la Canción de Viña del Mar 2009.

Contamos con su ayuda:
- Den a conocer esta idea para que las fans "ocultas" que hay por ahi y que ahora tienen mas de 20 años (o 30 en algunos casos, eso es lo de menos) se den a conocer y se pongan en contacto con nosotras.
- Manden mails a Canal 13 proponiendo esta idea, manden mails a la Municipalidad de Viña, y contactense con radios para solicitar que toquen los nuevos temas de Take That y así ponerlos en los ranking como antaño, incluso superar el exito que tuvo Back for Good.
